TODAY I AM THANKING MY GOD FOR THE PRECIOUS LIFE OF MY HUSBAND, A LITTLE MORE THAN I USUALLY DO.....

We had a recent encounter, that reminded us so clearly, Who watches over our lives.  The One who has power over every demonic influence and Who has promised that no weapon formed against us shall prosper.

This past Saturday, Silas was already quite exhausted, having ministered overnight in a funeral.  His day was filled with appointment after appointment.  At the end of a very long day, he still had to travel to Kisumu and back and then facilitate a leaders meeting with our pastors as we projected into 2015, preparing our hearts for what God has for CGC.

As he arrived, late at the meeting at 8 pm, he was pressed and headed straight to the latrine, guided by a small dull light that a boy was holding for him.  He couldn't see into the latrine but stepped in hurriedly.  He quickly heard an unusual tsssss sound and felt something cold and wet running down his hand.  As he lit his phone, it quickly revealed that he had unknowingly cornered a very large Black Mamba snake, who wasn't happy about sharing his new found space and had obviously spit venom on him.

Silas quickly exited the latrine, headed for the house, where we were all waiting to start the meeting and he began washing his hands repeatedly and thoroughly.  After hearing what had happened, we were completely dumbfounded!  A Black Mamba is an aggressive snake, that strikes quickly and very few ever survive such encounters.  The venom is highly toxic and a man is usually dead in less than 30 minutes.  The snake holds a fierce reputation as the worlds fastest and has been known to chase people aggressively, and can even travel backwards at high speeds!

Once again we are reminded of how GREAT and how BIG our GOD is, Who watches over His beloved, even in sleep.  We prayed taking authority over serpent and scorpion and over all the power of the enemy, declaring, that nothing shall by any means harm us.  Then we continued with meeting with perfect peace in our hearts.

Later, well into the evening, an excitement begin to fill me.  I began pondering in my heart, the earlier events, knowing that the enemy only comes to steal, kill and destroy.  So I began to wonder what the devil came, to try and steal from us that night.  What was God about to do and release that the enemy wanted to steal and stop?  I was stirred with excitement about what Sunday’s service was going to be like.  I knew that God had bigger plans for us and that what the enemy would try and use to harm us, God would work for our good and for the saving of many!  I was stirred with anticipation, knowing that God is a giver of only good gifts and that He had something good in store for all of us!

There was such an anointing present as Silas preach powerfully.  Five new souls gave their hearts to Christ and I gave another altar call, sensing that God wanted to break the bondage's that people and even generations had been enslaved to for years.  I saw in the spirit, families and generations being set free from alcoholism, abuse, and trauma.

I believe we will soon receive testimonies of people, who knew those in their family that were notorious longstanding alcoholics or addicts, suddenly delivered, never to drink or use again.  I am excited and thanking God already for all He has done that day, anticipating those wonderful reports, to His praise and glory!  Thank you Jesus for all Your love and care.  We are so grateful!
